We have planned many activities for the upcoming school year; including hands
-
on science labs, logical problem
solving, innovative writing, interactive reading, and field trips. We look forward to engaging every student in a challeng-
ing and relevant curriculum, while fostering an environment of
respect and support. We hope you had an exciting summer
and are ready to continue the Porter tradition of excellence!
Please visit Porter’s website (www.porter.pwcs.edu) for important information; the website provides you with a
wealth of information including: 7th grade supply list, 7th grade summer reading list, and uniform policy. Students new to
Porter this fall are invited to orientation, and all students are welcome to our “Teacher Meet & Greet” event. Please take
some time to review these items and mark your calendars. Each teacher maintains a class webpage on the Porter web-
site containing current and important information.
Studies show that parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the strongest indicators of student achieve-
ment. With that being said, be sure to sign up for your child’s Edmodo and Class Dojo pages during “Back to School
Night”! We look forward to working together with parent volunteers and appreciate your time and interest. Thank you for
the partnership in your child’s education.
If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us via email or call the school. Once again, welcome to 7th
grade. Let’s work together to make this a great year! GO PATRIOTS!!!
Sincerely,
The 7th Grade Staff
