Thank You for visiting the Math Resource Page. Allow me to introduce myself...I am Mrs. Christine Guerra, a PWCS graduate of 1990 from Woodbridge Senior High School, and a proud mother of 4 Porter Graduates (Tyler age 27, Chamberlyn age 24, Bryce age 22 and Aubrey age 19). I have a Bachelor's in Mathematical Science and a Masters in Education from George Mason University.
Over the past 8 years, I have had the privilege of teaching students in 3rd to 8th grade here at Mary G. Porter as a Math Resource Teacher and Co-teacher. In addition to that, I have been the Tutoring Program and Summer School Coordinator. My prior teaching experiences include being an Alternative High School math teacher for 11 years and substitute and assistant teacher for 4 years.
I thoroughly enjoy helping students make connections among the content and the world around them. It has always been a passion of mine to help students learn and grow as mathematicians and I look forward to working with each and everyone of you. I firmly believe that everyone is a math person and that there is nothing we can't learn together :)
