Week of: March 27 - 31
Many students struggled on our Measurement Test. Therefore, those that scored below 75% will be able to review and retest for mastery on Wednesday. Students must stay focused because time is moving fast. The SOLs will be here before you know it.
Thank you to ALL of the parents that volunteered to chaperone our field trip to Jamestown. The following parents were selected.
The following are upcoming events and tests:
Fiction IA - 3/29
Jamestown Play - 3/30 @ 6:30pm (Wear your Red Shirt)
Geometry IA - 4/6
Spring Break begins - 4/7
In Math, we will begin our Geometry Unit. Students must review nightly what we go over in class. Geometry covers Chapters 10 and 11 in our Math Connects Math Book. All students have a username and password for the online book. It is imperative that students practice their math facts daily.
In Language Arts, we will continue to review Elements of Fiction, in addition to, Making Connections with their reading. We, also, will continue SOL reviewing. Don’t forget to complete your Weekly Reading Log. It is now due on every other Monday. Students can download a copy from home or take one from the tray in the classroom.
In Social Studies, we will begin Virginia in the 20th and 21st Century. In Science, we will be beginning our unit on Weather. Students should be bringing home their Social Studies and Science binders daily.
4th Grade Snacks
Due to our late lunch schedule, fourth grade will have a morning snack. All students may bring in a snack each day for themselves. No sharing! Snacks should be healthy, quick & easy to eat, and should not be stored in the classroom overnight. Some examples of healthy snacks would be fruits, vegetables, pretzels or granola bars. Water ONLY. Please be aware that some days we may need to forfeit snack due to a busy schedule.
There are no signups at this time for water bottles.
