Families will increase their confidence in the school's approach to student discipline and communication.
Parents will report a rating of 4.4 or higher on the Parent Gallup Survey in response to the statement, "There is appropriate discipline at my child's school."
Parents will report a satisfaction rating of 4.4 or higher on quarterly surveys regarding appropriate discipline practices at school and the school's efforts to provide positive feedback about their children.
Porter Traditional School is committed to building strong partnerships with families through clear communication, transparency, and shared understanding of student expectations.
This year, we will continue strengthening our schoolwide discipline system and proactively communicating behavioral expectations, responses, and supports to families. Information about discipline procedures and consequences will be available through the Family Handbook section of our website, helping parents better understand how student behavior is addressed in ways that support learning, accountability, and growth.
In addition, we will continue to create opportunities for meaningful family involvement through family events, the Parent Advisory Council, Leader in Me family learning opportunities, and regular communication tools, such as Porter Pockets. Through these efforts, we aim to strengthen trust between home and school, celebrate student successes, and ensure families feel informed, supported, and connected to the Porter community.
