At Porter Traditional School, our response to behavior is designed to be clear, consistent, and restorative. When students do not meet expectations, staff members redirect behavior and provide opportunities for students to reflect on their choices, understand the impact on others, and make things right.
When students need additional support, they may participate in a Focus, Learn, Improve, Perform (FLIP) session, which helps students to learn from their choices, identify appropriate responses, and make a commitment to positive behavior moving forward.
Our goal is to build accountability while helping students develop the skills they need to be successful members of our school community.
